Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By booking or using the services of Mover Bros (“we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to these Terms of Service. Mover Bros is an owner-operated moving company based in London, Ontario, Canada.

2. Services

We provide residential and commercial moving services, including loading, transportation, and unloading of household goods within Ontario. All moves are subject to availability and confirmation by Mover Bros.

3. Pricing & Payment

  • Quoted prices are estimates. Final charges are based on actual time and distance used.
  • A minimum charge of 2 hours applies to all moves.
  • All prices are subject to 13% HST.
  • Payment is due upon completion of the move.
  • We accept cash, e-Transfer, and major credit cards.
  • Flat rates are fixed for the stated scope; additional time is billed at the hourly rate.

4. Cancellation Policy

  • 48+ hours notice: Free cancellation, no charge.
  • 24–48 hours notice: 50% of the estimated cost may be charged.
  • Less than 24 hours notice: Up to 100% of the 2-hour minimum may be charged.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule due to extreme weather or circumstances beyond our control.

5. Liability & Damage

We carry general liability insurance and take reasonable care with all items. However, our liability is limited as follows:

  • We are not liable for damage to items that were pre-existing, improperly packed by the customer, or fragile items not disclosed in advance.
  • Maximum liability for lost or damaged goods is limited to $0.60 per pound per article (standard carrier release value) unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Claims for damage must be reported within 24 hours of move completion.
  • We are not responsible for damage caused by inaccessible locations, elevators, or building restrictions.

6. Customer Responsibilities

  • Ensure all items to be moved are disclosed at time of booking.
  • Ensure safe access to pickup and delivery locations.
  • Be present or have an authorised representative present during the move.
  • Obtain any required building or elevator permissions before the move date.

7. Items We Cannot Move

We do not transport: hazardous materials, firearms, explosives, illegal items, pets, or plants.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Ontario law, Mover Bros shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific move.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
